My Mission
My
mission is to help bring creative play and movement flow to as many people as
possible. To do this I aspire to create events which contain elements of
collective creative expression, pulling on such ancient traditions as Kirtan,
utilizing folk singing and dance and incorporating improvisational theatre
games. I wish to achieve that elusive goal of removing the “fourth wall” from
between the performers and the audience to invite everyone to express their
inner performer and encourage the emergence of their inner artist. Under the right conditions,
this sort of vision could create collective experiences that have the potential
to be very healing for a great number of people. So many people are locked in
modes of operation approved by common courtesy and culture. While these
unspoken guidelines for behavior are important and useful, it is equally
important and useful to break out of our patterns to experience new ways of
being and to push our comfort zones. I want to create events that in their very
nature, press on people’s comfort zones, inviting them to expand.
