Who: The Mischievians are a misfit band of tribal elf characters, boasting bold body paint, flowers in their hair and a dangerous twinkle in their eyes. They are true mischief catalysts whose mission is pure play. The Mischievians work consciously to cultivate co-creative spaces, across the festival landscape, where tribal communal expression is encouraged, fostered and inspired. While playing at the sound stages, they elevate the energy of the dance floor, giving license to the absurd, the bold, and the full-hearted exuberant, weaving a dance floor steeped in infectious joy. While roaming the festival they create containers of co-creative expression, liberation and play using simple, inviting games and collaborative activities. The atmosphere created is one of inviting play with no expectations and we operate with tuned sensitivity to the needs and desires of the festival goers we come across. Why: We are all tribe here. Let’s come together and celebrate this beautiful, blessed life we have been gifted! The Mischievians recognize that participating in artistic expression can be profoundly healing and it is their mission to make each person feel included in the creation of the art, and to feel empowered to be their inner artist if they so choose to be. It is their belief that co-operative and communal creative expression is not only healing and empowering for the individual, it is profoundly beneficial for our collective mind, as it gives us the tools, trust and cooperative spirit that we need to rise into the next phase of our evolution as a species.
